The engineering team at UAS has a long history of feed mill and heavy industry experience in both batching and continuous processes; we have ensured that our Client-Server Batching Application, written in Visual Basic, completely meets the needs of our clients. Our batching system interacts with our PLC & Graphics program allowing the process to be fully automated and controlled from the computer, minimizing the need for personnel, reaching the highest efficiency and therefore reducing operating costs. UAS Batching System has also proven to help our customers obtaining the HACCP Certification.
UAS Batch uses Microsoft’s SQL Server as the main database providing for clean information exchange between various applications that are necessary for effective and optimal factory utilization.
The SQL Server database stores all recipe and commodity information and bin assignments. It also stores all batch tracking and production information as well as all historical information. In short, all information needed to schedule and utilize the factory for production is maintained in the SQL Server, and the UAS Batch application provides the operator interface, reporting functions and direct control of the PLCs from this database to operate the factory equipment.
Some of the most advanced features of our batching system include:
- Production Planning & Scheduling
- Batch Control Sequencing
- Full Batch Tracking & Reporting
- Dynamic Resource (commodity) Resolution
- Automatic Batch Calculation
- Inventory Tracking and Control
- Customer & Suppliers Database
- All Statistical Info available for Management
- Formulas/Recipes Creation & Edition keeping old versions
- Purchase, Sales & Manufacturing Orders
- Shipping and Receiving Information
Additionally, our use of the SQL Server eases data exchange to and integration of 3rd party solutions, such as Least Cost Formulation packages. Also, the SQL Server is easily expandable to incorporate maintenance information and schedules where a preventive maintenance program is desired.
